Presbyterian Women 2025 Birthday Offering:For the Lord your God will bless you in all your produce and in all your undertakings, and you shall surely celebrate. –Deuteronomy 16:15b
The annual PW Birthday offering will be collected on Sunday, May 18, 2025 during worship and at the PW General Meeting and lunch after worship (checks should be made out to Presbyterian Women). This year the offering will support Leland Presbyterian Church in Leland, Mississippi and Red Cloud Renewable in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.
Leland Presbyterian will use funds to build housing for volunteers who come to the area to assist in home repairs and community improvements.
Red Cloud Renewable will use funds to construct three “dome” homes, providing housing as well as create publicity for this affordable housing option. Construction apprentices will gain experience in this building technique that can rapidly and affordably increase housing availability for Lakota families in need.
PW General Meeting: All women and men are welcome to attend the Presbyterian Women General Meeting in the Fellowship Hall after worship on the 18th for a light lunch, fellowship, and to hear our guest speaker, Rae Marie Czuhai, Chief Executive Officer of The Green Chair Project. They just celebrated their 15-year anniversary. Green Chair Project is a nonprofit that provides cribs and beds to children as well as providing households with essential needs and furnishings. They support individuals that are overcoming homelessness, crises, and disasters. Please join us so you can learn about all of the wonderful things that The Green Chair Project is doing and ways that we can help support them in their mission to help those in need.
Outstanding Older Adult Award Ceremony: May 18th is a full day of ministry in Christ name! As many as are able, are invited to attend in support of Jerry and Diane and many other lifelong servants of Christ.
