• Garner Area Ministries: An organization that provides canned goods, clothes, and financial help for the needy.
  • AA: Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who come together to solve their drinking problem. It doesn’t cost anything to attend A.A. meetings. There are no age or education requirements to participate. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem. A.A.’s primary purpose is to help alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
  • Al-Anon: Al‑Anon is a mutual support program for people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. By sharing common experiences and applying the Al-Anon principles, families and friends of alcoholics can bring positive changes to their individual situations, whether or not the alcoholic admits the existence of a drinking problem or seeks help.
  • 2 Cents a Meal: This is a monthly collection in worship that supports programs addressing food insecurity in our area.
  • H.O.P.E.: On the 5th Saturday of a month First Presbyterian Church of Garner helps Homeless Outreach Providing Encouragement Ministry (HOPE) by serving a meal to the homeless. For more information about this please contact the church office or get details in the newsletter, The Spire.
  • Community Navigators and Community Builders: CNCB is a nonprofit organization that develops community youth leaders. Their mission is to give middle and high schoolers the opportunity to excel through exposure and the development of leadership skills
  • Boy Scouts / Cub Scouts: Troop 392 and Pack 392 meet each week on Tuesdays at 7pm.
  • Girl Scouts: We have many Girl Scout Troops that meet throughout the week at the church spanning all ages.
  • Family Promise of the Triangle: Is an organization that helps move families at risk of or experiencing homelessness into sustainable, permanent housing in our community through a continuum of support services. (https://www.familypromisetriangle.org/home)
  • Able to Serve: a faith-based, community-funded nonprofit organization that offers a day program for adults with disabilities, providing a supportive environment where they can reach their full potential as an integral part of God’s creation.
