Our Advent Theme in worship for 2025, “Do Not Fear: Insisting on Hope” will be celebrated each Sunday in worship!
Announcements
2026 Pledge forms: If you haven’t gotten your 2026 pledge in yet, don’t fret, it’s not too late. Extra pledge forms are on the table at the back of the sanctuary. Feel free to drop it in the offering plate or drop it by the church office anytime.
Angel Tree is in the Narthex! This year we are partnering with Timber Drive Elementary School to provide our angel tree recipients. Laminated posters are on the wall for each family (there are four families). Each gift listed on the poster has a matching tag on the tree. Let us help others celebrate the season with Hope, Happiness, Peace & Love! Sunday is the last day to grab your tag!
View laminated posters for available gifts (separate poster for each family)
Retrieve your tag(s) from the tree.
Write your name on the laminated posters on the wall for each tag you take from the tree.
Return your wrapped gift(s) to the church parlor by Sunday, December 7
Lillie Circle Christmas Gathering: Our circle will meet on Monday, December 8, at the home of Ann Bagwell. If you need additional information, contact Sibyl Pedziwiatr at 919-539 0874 or sunnydays4ever87@gmail.com.
Celebration: On December 21st, immediately following the church service, the Deacons will host a reception in the fellowship hall to celebrate our choir and to celebrate our church completing our Walk Around the World. We are asking the congregation to bring “Finger Foods”. The Deacons will provide punch. Ideas for finger foods can include cookies, cake slices, cheese & crackers, fruit, veggies, or whatever seems festive to you. Please join us in celebrating our choir and walkers. We have a lot to celebrate and be thankful for. If you have any questions, please contact Donna Gould.
Walk Around the World: I bet everyone can feel the chill in the air, as we have reached the NC mountains on our Walk Around the World. Actually, we are just a few miles west of Asheville and have only 270 miles to go before we are home and have completed our walk. The progress each person has made in walking and contributing steps is simply stupendous! We will certainly be home by next week, so eat a second helping of turkey and dressing to congratulate yourself. Thank you for your determination and discipline in taking care of your wellness, which is a gift from God.
